Bookkeeper Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a bookkeeper based from our Cheltenham office.

This role involves performing bookkeeping activities on one of our client sites based in Ross-on-Wye.

This is a full-time role and applications are invited from both experienced bookkeepers or individuals looking to pursue a career in accountancy through a sponsored training programme Eg. An apprenticeship pursuing AAT qualification.

The main duties will involve:

You will be required to do all monthly ledger work, including:

• Processing bank, petty cash and credit card transactions;
• Reconciling all bank and cash accounts;
• Posting journals for payroll, accruals and prepayments;
• Reconciling control accounts;
• Posting fixed asset adjustments and maintaining asset registers;
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns; and
• Liaising with clients over queries.
