We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Paralegal to join our expanding Legal team within a modern, progressive company. The ideal candidate:

  • The successful candidate will be organised, detail-focused and confident working both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing and be confident supporting matters through to completion.
  • A law degree, paralegal qualification or relevant legal experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Your duties:

  • Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from file opening through to completion, including purchases, sales, remortgages, probate sales, transfers and redemptions
  • Handle client enquiries, liaise with all parties and provide clear, proactive updates throughout each transaction
  • Prepare and issue contract packs, property reports and supporting legal documentation
  • Raise, review and respond to enquiries accurately and efficiently
  • Manage the receipt and arrangement of funds in accordance with firm procedures
  • Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and deal with requisitions
  • Prepare SDLT submissions and carry out post-completion matters
  • Support leasehold and new build transactions where required
  • Use Leap Legal Software where appropriate; previous experience would be beneficial but is not essential

Schedule:

  • This is a full-time, office-based role in Swindon, with working hours of 09:00 to 17:30.
