Property sales and conveyancing: the process

You may be an old hand at property purchase, or a first-time buyer. Whichever stage you are at on the property ladder, here’s what will happen.

1. As soon as you decide to sell, we’ll ask you to sign a couple of forms (this helps avoid delays later on).
2. We’ll get the necessary information and documents from the seller’s solicitors and put in hand all appropriate searches.
3. We will liaise with them, and you, over any queries that may arise in the course of our investigation of title.
4. Once everything is in place, we’ll ask you to sign a contract, at that point you’ll need to pay a deposit, and we’ll agree a completion and moving date.
